dot ANTENATAL CLINIC/POSTNATAL CLINIC – Wednesday mornings

dot BABY CLINIC – Wednesday afternoons

dot CARERS' SUPPORT - We have a wide range of information about support to Carers and want to make sure we are doing what we can to help.

dot CHILD DEVELOPMENT – We will monitor your child’s development up to their 5th birthday.

dot CHIROPODY AND PODIATRY - This clinic aims to improve and maintain foot function and mobility for patients over 60 and patients at risk, e.g. diabetics.

dot CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU - Runs an advice session at our surgery every Monday, 1.30pm to 3.00pm.

dot COUNSELLOR - Helps with problems like anxiety, relationship difficulties, depression, bereavement.

dot DIABETES, ASTHMA, CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD), CHRONIC HEART DISEASE & HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE If you suffer from any of these conditions, we like to review your health at regular intervals. This also gives us an opportunity to suggest changes in treatment if appropriate.

dot EAR CLINIC - Ear syringing and cleaning.

dot FAMILY PLANNING - Advice and prescriptions, including fitting caps and coils. Emergency contraception is available on request.

dot HEART DISEASE PREVENTION - If you are worried about your heart or have a family history of Heart Disease, please have a Heart and Lung check.

dot INFANT MASSAGE - Please contact the Health Visitors on 265 2221.

dot MAMMOGRAPHY - Women over 50 are invited for Breast Screening every 3 years. This is run by the central health clinic - Breast Screening Centre on 276 0131. If you are over 65 you will not be sent an invitation letter, but you are very welcome to make your own appointment for mammography.

dot MENOPAUSE CLINIC – To discuss problems or simply want more information.

dot MINOR OPERATIONS - Can be performed by a Doctor at the practice. Tuesday, 11.00am - 12.00 noon.

dot OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH Works - once per month on Monday afternoons 3.30pm - 6.00pm, for advice on work related health problems.

dot PHYSIOTHERAPY - assessment, treatment and advice, eg neck and back disorders, rheumatic and other joint problems, muscle strains and ligament sprains.

dot CERVICAL SMEAR TESTS - Available every three years to women up to the age of 50, then every five years to 64.

dot TRAVEL HEALTH - Information on keeping healthy whilst abroad, immunisations . Birley Health Centre is an accredited Yellow Fever Centre.

dot WORKERS CLINICS - Appointments are available on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings between 8.OO am and 9:00 am.

YOUTH CLINIC - Confidential discussion of any issues involving general health, relationships, school, sexual health or contraception on Tuesday afternoons between 3.30pm and 4.30pm
